A Little Holiday Project…
Christmas 2020. A very quiet holiday, you may remember, with LOTS of time to do inside projects & get one’s DIY on. I made these “garlands” as a way to use up our collection of champagne corks (please be advised they were NOT all ours!). Some of them, I left natural, a few others I used glitter spray paint for a festive touch. Come on, you know I love myself some good glitter. All in all, the project turned out pretty cute.
For the ones that were spray painted, I’d wanted to keep the decoration on the cork tops so I covered them up with circle labels (the kind you’d use to tag garage sale items). A little spray paint, then the hardware. I purchased some little eye loops on the internet & used a pliers to help twist them onto the corks. A little decorative ribbon or twine from Michaels & you have yourself a decorative garland. The glitter ones ended up on the hearth & the natural ones on my little tree. It was a fun project…might have to do more in 2021. We HAVE had a few bottles since I did these, so there’s a bit more raw material for the project!
