This in town chateau does not have quite the curb appeal as some of the others we’d seen, but what it perhaps lacks in outside charm it makes up for in volume. This one is over 10,000 square feet on three full floors. PLUS, the basement has vaulted ceilings & a really cool stone room where one could host some epic dinner parties in the wine cellar. Likely updated in the 70’s or 80’s this chateau is just screaming out for someone to rescue it. The bones are good, with super tall ceilings, a plethora of fire places, gorgeous floors & a LOT (did I say it was big) a lot of rooms. The quaint little town boasts renaissance chateau open for tourists & I’d call it the French version of Mayberry. Our realtor showed us the tourist chateau & as we passed by all the shop owners knew his name. Big budget to reno for this one, but the price reflected it. Hmmmm………
