A Little TOO Something?!
This beauty sat on the outskirts of the most ADORABLE village. We entered the lovely ville of Richelieu through an arched stone gateway to set sight on bright white stone buildings & a picturesque town square with a little market going on. Think of a Hallmark movie, set in a quaint French village. The chateau sits on over 50 acres of beautiful countryside. It was a bit hazy on the day we visited, so the atmosphere was magical with the mist rolling off the green landscape. We hadn’t known that this property was primarily used for equestrian activities, so there were a lot of remnants of horse-ness throughout the land. Now, to the chateau…the exterior really wows…as in total curb appeal. Unfortunately, EVERYTHING & I really do mean EVERYTHING on the inside would have required re-working, re-plumbing, re-electricity-ing, etc. It would have been way too much for us to tackle, as in years of remodeling. Being at the upper end of the price range to begin with, we had to put this one in the not for us pile after we viewed it. So, I’m going to say a little TOO much everything for us. I see this property in the future alive again with horses, a family with little kids in riding boots & adorable velvet riding hats & a majestic chateau that has been brought back to life. I hope it can live that way again someday soon.
